Who we are and what we do?

Ellel Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry that began in England in 1986 and is now established in over 20 countries around the world. We look to serve the Body of Christ in two main ways – by offering personal prayer ministry to those in need and by training and equipping people so that they can help others more effectively.

The sad truth is that many Christians feel that there is no real answer to the problems they face on a daily basis – problems such as fear and anxiety, addictions and anger outbursts, long-term consequences of trauma or abuse and relationship dysfunction… to name but a few. The list is endless! The wonderful fact, however, is that God is willing, able and longing to restore His people and equip them to fulfill all the plans He has for them! No man or woman is excluded and we have seen thousands of lives healed and transformed since the work began.

Ellel Ministries Malaysia (EMM), established in April 2010, are convicted that the ministry of healing and deliverance of Jesus is an integral part of the ministry of the Church.

We believe that the victory won by Jesus on the Cross is to be appropriated by all those who put their faith in Him. We are committed to teach and minister healing and freedom to the whole person and train and equip the saints for the work of the gospel of the Kingdom of God. We believe that healing and deliverance ministry is necessary to support and strengthen evangelism and discipleship of the local church.

The work of Ellel Ministries officially began in the North West of England on October 31st, 1986. Ellel Ministries Malaysia (EMM), which is a part of the Ellel Ministries International, has its Central office in Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley, and two other centres: one in Kota Kinabalu and in Penang.

What exactly do we mean by the word Healing?

Our definition of healing is simple. We believe healing is God’s supernatural work of bringing order into a person’s life where there has been disorder! It includes looking at the root problems that may be the cause of a person’s struggle – dealing with any unforgiveness, sin, wounding, or hold of the enemy. As we help a person do their business with God in forgiving, repenting and making godly choices, we then pray for the Lord to bring His healing. It’s not the weird or wacky picture of healing that some people have – just basic discipleship.

What does ‘Ellel’ mean?

Ellel Ministries takes its name from its first building in England, Ellel Grange, which is near the village of Ellel, in Lancashire.

In old English, the name Ellel means ‘All hail’ which means ‘All glory to God’
In Hebrew, Ellel means ‘towards God’
In Mandarin Chinese, it means ‘love flowing outwards (愛流)

So Ellel could be said to mean ‘All hail, Jesus, All glory to Him’ and be expressed as ‘Love flowing outwards’ into a fallen and broken world, where we are helping people move ‘towards God’.  It is all for His glory.
